A Hidden Disabilities Sunflower é um projeto global que começou em 2016 no Reino Unido, para que a(o) portadora(o) de doença oculta seja amparado, primeiro, pela identificação através do cordão de girassol, tendo os colaboradores dos membros capacitados a atender tais pessoas. Aeroportos e Companhias Aéreas foram os primeiros a apoiar o projeto. Outras frentes podem aderir. O Estado brasileiro como um todo está aderindo ao nosso cordão de girassol. Para que as empresas apoiem pessoas com deficiências não visíveis, elas precisam cultivar uma cultura em que alguém se sinta seguro para compartilhar que possui uma deficiência não aparente; uma cultura onde falar sobre deficiência não é evitado e uma cultura onde todos têm as mesmas oportunidades e voz para impactar os negócios.
