  This was a year long placement working in the Product Development team. My role involved working on existing products to improve them via vigorous testing and data analysis. Skills developed: CAD (computer-aided design), Matlab to a basic level, data collection and analysis, and how to formulate risk assessments. Project managed the early careers project for the Cheltenham Science Festival. This year long project involved leading a team of 15 and managing a £7200 budget to design, build and market our stand for Spirax Sarco at the Science Festival. This allowed us as a team to be creative, with the aim to encourage children of all ages in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects, while also educating the public what it is Spirax Sarco do.
