We continue to provide solutions through consultations, workshops, programs and resources for kids, from pre-school to high school, parents and educators, loaded with prevention, intervention and solution tips and strategies. Our newest program, Social Starts, begins in pre-school. A book for the pre school and early childhood audiences is in the works.   As a counselor in Special Education, I worked with special needs students in elementary, middle and high school. Timely consulting and collaboration with teachers, other school staff and with parents were in effect to ensure that each child received the most appropriate and beneficial services available. As part of a group selected to train teachers and implement a Behavior Modification program for students with behavior and attention difficulties, I learned that if a child cannot sit quietly in a circle and pay attention, that child cannot learn effectively. My work and breakthrough with a child on the autistic spectrum inspired a training video used as a teaching tool, at the world-renowned Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto. Show less
