NEC3 Option C Contract. • Managing single tunnel cleaning works, implementing Six Sigma (process improvement tool) to improve efficiency and production. Completing daily production trackers and managing workforce to ensure works are in line with accepted programme. Conducting quality inspections with Client and 3rd parties (Rail for London) and achieving 100% defect free. • Writing and reviewing method statements and risk assessments. • Managing single tunnel invert reprofiling works, monitoring production with trackers. Conducting 10m wall reprofiling trial to test methodology and using as basis for cost comparison analysis on addition self-delivered works versus subcontracting out. • Setting out, and submitting RFIs to Client for clarification on tolerances due to inconsistencies in drawings. • Completing red line drawings and all quality documentation and submitted quality package. Monitoring ventilation in the tunnel and providing localised increased ventilation to help disperse hazardous gases. Setting up sumps to reuse tunnel water on inverts for dust suppression. • Managing twin tunnel deconstruction and reconstruction works. This role requires good production planning, quality management (completed over 600 quality inspections), implementing strict health and safety procedures and checking temporary works formwork and temporary soffit support beams. I work closely with the Client, on site operatives, and third parties including London City Airport. • Planning and producing a weekly produced 4 week look ahead. • Presented Connaught Tunnel as an engineer for BBC documentary. • Overview of project wide real-time monitoring. • Won VCUK divisional health and safety award for works in tunnel. • Organising knowledge share events such as ICE student visits and colleagues from other Taylor Woodrow sites.
