I assisted the professor and graduate students in their primary research experiments to determine the acute impact of a single session of leg heating on the systemic levels of angiogenic growth factors and cytokines and the changes in mRNA expression in vascular remodeling of the skeletal muscle in the leg. Performed many activities including taking measurements throughout the experiments, recorded and analyzed results from the two different protocols, and helped further the understanding of how the human body reacts to hyperthermia by reviewing scientific literature.
