I spent a year of voluntary work at The National Library (NL) alongside my masters course at Aberystwyth University. The library allowed me to perform a variety of tasks including transcribing audio files, digitsing index cards for Radio and TV Broadcasts and writing premises for ITV Wales advertising what film footage is available in the Screen and Sound Archive and transcribing the Kyffin Diaries and accessions books.I also contributed towards their wonderful project 'Living Memory' which created free resources designed to stimulate memories amongst older people and those living with dementia scheme and to assist health and social organizations with reminiscence therapy.I learnt how to create and edit Wikipedia articles with The National Library's resident Wikipedian. My role was to fill the void of articles concerning important welsh women in History.
