My responsibilities include working with students to help them become better writers. I work with students on any stage of the writing process, from brainstorming to outlining to final drafts. Sometimes students like to focus on specific parts of writing, such as thesis statements, grammar, and citations. I have also co-designed a grammar cycles workshop that is meant to help students improve various areas of their grammar from modifiers and sentence structure to noun-verb agreement and punctuation. I filed important documents, input information about students'​ current observation sites, input data - such as percentage of diversity, free/reduced lunches, and English Language Learners- about the school districts the Office of School and Community Partnerships currently works with, and collected/updated contact information for the various school districts that Adelphi's School of Education works with for teacher candidate placements. I also conducted research on various towns in Nassau County in order for the Office of Schools and Community Partnerships to obtain more information regarding the composition of the towns they currently work with and think about expanding their partnerships to other school districts.
