      As a Nurse Intern, on average I take care of 11 patients. My duties are taking vitals, helping with evening care such as assistance with meals, toileting, dressing, and ambulation of patients. I collect specimens, record intake and output and communicate with nurses to allow appropriate interventions. I transport patients, perform 12 lead EKG, and accuchecks as well as ostomy care. Due to my PRN pool status I get floated to ICU and ER as well as the cardiac telemetry floor while my home-base unit is the orthopedics medical-surgical floor. All this experience has taught me on prioritization and time management with a patient and a caring attitude.
