Allie brought a kid-first focus to her art classroom. Not only that, she proactively collaborated with colleagues to improve our art curriculum. That's enough for most people. Not Allie. She did both while dealing with an ever-changing art curriculum and throughout COVID's hybrid / virtual / in-person teaching. She never wavered from her commitment to the kids in her classroom (or on the screen). Her professionalism and proactive approach were assets to her classroom and our school community.
