Obtained a PhD in Systems Biology in Professor Jens Nielsens group. My project was based within the field of metabolic engineering in order to investigate parameters which could influence the production of fatty acids in yeast. The position gave me solid experience within molecular biology, genetic engineering practice, small scale fermentation, analytic chemistry, design of experiments, data analysis, presentation technique, teaching and scientific writing. PhD thesis title: “Evaluation of precursor and cofactor engineering strategies influencing fatty acid metabolism in Saccharomyces cerevisiae” (https://research.chalmers.se/publication/510267).
