Responsible to the Head of Engineering and ultimately board level for the project technical delivery, design coordination and stakeholder management of a number of international projects. General duties included: • Preparation of fee proposals and bids for global projects. Project delivery in remote locations and testing environments including deserts of Texas and Israel. Attendance at Project/Client meetings, Client liaison and daily management of design departments including engineers and architects. • Contract administration for multi-million-pound government contracts and subsequent sub-contractors. Worked extensively on a number of major projects to enhance the military and civilian capabilities around the world. Main focus has been on force protection through blast and ballistic-mitigating design, particularly in Afghanistan and the Arab world.Explora conducts world-renowned full-scale blast testing on a yearly basis; managed and oversaw the 2013 tranche of tests in the Middle East.Recently developed expertise in the development and design of training facilities for use by both regular and Special Forces, working with retired military personnel to ensure both the latest technology and research are used to effect the best possible training, whatever the requirement.
