This degree greatly enhanced my abilty to solve problems and build lean systems effectively. This interdisciplinary course allowed me to work with a very diverse range of concepts, taking elements from mechanical, electrical and computer engineering; ultimately giving me the ability to think about problems much more holistically.My degree course, Integrated Engineering included these modules: Solid Mechanics, Computing, Engineering Analysis, Power Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Materials and Manufacturing, Product Design and System Integration, Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer, Control Engineering and Introduction to Economics, Law, Accounting and Management Science. In my third year I plan to take the modules: Business Management, Energy Studies, Microprocessor & Instrumentation Systems, Materials and Manufacture, Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer, Product Design, Quality and Reliability, Fluid Power and Control and Electrical Machines and Drives A. For my final fourth year I plan to study the following modules; Renewable Energy Design, UAV Project, Energy Management, ‘Condition Monitoring, Modelling & Forecasting’, Management in industry, Advanced Robotics, Control and Waste Management and Recycling.

Student Warden

Working directly with Cardiff University's security support network as their immediate response team. Specifically dealing with common problems such as: student lockouts, noise complaints, and crowd control during fire alarms. The final role of the Student Warden is to support first year students with any of their qualms or concerns whilst integrating into university life for the first time; we serve as an intermediate division between management and students as a friendly more relatable resource for complex issues and problems that the older management team may not be able to understand or appreciate.
