   Focused mechanical and hydraulic design of new and retrofit centrifugal pumps for the oil and gas, energy, and water markets. Responsible for leading and mentoring a team of engineers in the design of new pump projects.  Provide technical support to sales tendering for preparation of quotes, bids and RFQ’s for new projects. Oversee the repair and retrofit of field pumps to the latest API and ASME standards. Collaborate with customers to design unique and cost-effective designs to troubleshoot field issues and pump failures. Provide technical support to customers regarding failure analysis, vibration analysis, pressure boundary analysis, hydraulic re-rates, metallurgy, corrosion/erosion, maintenance, system operation, bearing life, and instrumentation. Prepare engineering drawings using CAD programs (Inventor, AutoCAD & NX) to enable the complete manufacturing of pump products. Provide engineering drawing control using PML software (Windchill and Team Center). Prepare Bills of Materials within the ERP system (SAP).

   Functioned as a numerical modeller for the IESVic Cryofuels group. Focused development of prototype active magnetic refrigerator devices. Utilized commercial FEA and 3D modeling tools Comsol, Matlab and SolidWorks to design and optimize permanent magnet assemblies and fluid systems. Performed and designed experiments in order to validate simulations. Designed and assembled a new magnet assembly for use in magnetic refrigeration. Assisted in the design, fabrication and assembly of refrigeration systems. Worked with Cold Star Freight to complete a feasibility study for a patented refrigerated transport system and presented my findings to the company president and board of directors.
