As a Research Associate for Morgan State University's School of Architecture & Planning (MSU SA&P), I have assisted my supervisor, Professor Dale Glenwood Green, in project management and contributed as a team member in various ongoing field work, including The Hill Community Project and Housing On The Hill Task Force of Easton, MD, and the Pine Street Community Small Area Plan Project in Cambridge, MD. These projects represent a breadth of preservation activity including community outreach and planning, historic resource surveying and documentation, associated geographical mapping, subsidized affordable housing project coordination, and historical research towards the development of interpretive heritage signage, an interactive educational website, and walking tour brochure. I additionally conducted primary and secondary research for the National Trust for Historic Preservation regarding the heritage of America's first HBCU, The Lincoln University near Oxford, PA. This project was going to be led by MSU SA&P in partnership with NTHP and the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (SHPO), but since has been reallocated to MSU for political reasons. I have since followed up by leading research with the assistance of undergraduate students regarding MSU's multiple campus history as part of a Campus Heritage Master Plan in preparation for the centennial celebration of the current historic campus. Furthermore, in support of our research activity, I have written several large grant and program proposals that have had successful outcomes. Show less
