Alex is a smart, nimble, hard-working software engineer that deeply understands the goals of quality software development. He takes a big-picture approach, and writes meaningful, and self-documenting code that is easy to maintain. He is passionate about his craft, eager to learn new skills and techniques, and self-motivated. Though he is capable of web and application development in all tiers, his strong attention to visual detail, and working knowledge of typography and design fundamentals make him particularly suited to front-end work development. His exuberant and jovial can-do attitude makes him pleasant to collaborate with in all stages of the software life-cycle. I love having him on my team.

Back End Development: Developed and continuously improving a robust, lightweight PHP based MVC framework ideally suited quick turnaround and deployment of website changes; this drastically cut down on development time for agency work. Implemented and maintaining staging environments for several websites to allow for agency and client review before making live site changes. Implemented a secure microsite for distributing medical reprints to doctors. Give feedback to account and project management team about requirements and capabilities of sites. Front End Development: Countless HTML, CSS, and Javascript changes for client pages/sites, including building some from the ground up. When the targeted platforms allowed, used CSS3 to reduce javascript load, making page experience much snappier. QA Testing: Wrote test documentation for the aforementioned medical reprint microsite.

Helped develop a new software mode for military radios running a real time OS. Weirdly enough, developed a tool for internal use in parsing and visualizing log data; that was the most fun.
