  I have been refactoring ancient core of major Italian bank to spilt its monolith to microservices. Process started by analysing existing code base, it consisted of some serious archeology and designing new logic keeping the original behaviour and removing harmful quirks of the system. After analysis phase was complete we have started to implement new microservices.
