  During my career to date, I have been responsible for the design of small to medium-sized projects, or sections of larger projects, to achieve the client’s objectives independently, with the support of a senior engineer. I have gained experience and worked on a diverse range of projects to date in sectors such as residential, commercial, leisure, industrial, as well as healthcare and education. The projects I have worked on, have also varied from consulting with local authorities, domestic and commercial developers, and private industry clients on a variety of scales. The majority of projects that I have worked on have been within the planning and design stages of the construction process, however, a number of these projects are now entering the construction phase, also exposing me to site experience.Within the projects I have worked on, I also believe I have developed and displayed an ability to design viable alternate structures, as per the client’s brief. In doing so I have considered the structural materials used, aesthetics, durability, and construction methods of the projects. Regarding structural materials, I have gained experience in the analysis and design of reinforced concrete, masonry, timber, steel, and composite structures. I was able to undertake the analysis and design of structural components by completing calculations effectively using both hand calculations and Tekla design software. A list of completed projects to date can be seen below to which a portfolio of work can be submitted on request.

  During my career to date, I have been responsible for the design of small to medium-sized projects, or sections of larger projects, to achieve the client’s objectives independently, with the support of a senior engineer. In addition to this, I have also been responsible for the preparation of technical drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit, in compliance with appropriate codes of practice, as well as assisting in structural inspections, assessments, and on-site surveys. I have gained experience and worked on a diverse range of projects to date in sectors such as residential, commercial, leisure, industrial, as well as healthcare and education. The projects I have worked on, have also varied from consulting with local authorities, domestic and commercial developers, and private industry clients on a variety of scales.
