Current research revolves around air quality challenges within the greater Salt Lake region of Utah. In particular, how the local mesoscale and boundary layer meteorology can result in prolonged periods of high pollutant concentrations. I also provide assistance to the University of Utah MesoWest program (https://mesowest.utah.edu), the University of Utah UUNET mesonet network, as well as Synoptic Data PBC (https://synopticdata.com) in a contracting role to help collect real-time mesonet observations for the NOAA National Mesonet Program.
