The PhD research topic is part of the HVAS (High Voltage Actuation System) project consisting of three PhDs in which I’m responsible for the cables and connectors in vacuum conditions. The HVAS project aims at the integral research of the design of the full actuation chain: highprecision power amplifiers, cables, connectors and actuators of future generation lithography machines at a relatively high voltage level of several kilovolts. The voltage increase will enhance power to ultimately increase productivity. The project is in cooperation with ASML, Prodrive Technologies en Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) with ir. J. van Duivenbode (ASML Netherlands B.V.) and prof.dr. P.A.A.F. Wouters (TU/e) as direct supervisors.
