➢ My role was to support the editorial process for academic research in the Materials Science journal. This involved organising rigorous peer reviews from experts whom had contributed to a similar field of study, handled email communications with authors and reviewers and ensured articles were accurately edited and published to a tight deadline. ➢ As a section managing editor, the role consisted of setting up special issues which involved collaborating with an academic guest editor to attract submissions to a more focused area of research.➢ I was also responsible for managing the journal's social media pages; posting new outstanding publications, special issues and upcoming conferences.

This hospitality job involves working behind a bar at a variety of festivals and sporting events. ➢ My role is to serve customers and take their orders. This involves a lot of communication skills and the ability to work under pressure, as the bars get very busy. ➢ I recently have been in responsible for the till which involves taking money and giving back the correct change highlighting my ability to work with money. This is a role that bar managers give to people they can trust and are highly capable to work efficiently under pressure. ➢ Managed the bar temporarily and dealt with customer complaints demonstrating my ability to lead and communicate effectively.
