➢ My role was to support the editorial process for academic research in the Materials Science journal. This involved organising rigorous peer reviews from experts whom had contributed to a similar field of study, handled email communications with authors and reviewers and ensured articles were accurately edited and published to a tight deadline. ➢ As a section managing editor, the role consisted of setting up special issues which involved collaborating with an academic guest editor to attract submissions to a more focused area of research.➢ I was also responsible for managing the journal's social media pages; posting new outstanding publications, special issues and upcoming conferences.
