Bio
Dave Pinkney
Alex is one of those rare individuals who is naturally a very versatile artist. During my time working with him I found him to be incredibly adaptable and knowledgeable in many areas synonymous with game art. When it came to dealing with areas he did not know so well the speed at which he picked them up was impressive and he didn't stop there. He would find holes in the processes used and then improve them. When he first arrived it was not initially obvious that he was overly technical but when I got to know him and his skill set a little better I realised that he would in fact make a very promising Technical Artist if given chance to flourish. As he is always very interested in learning or improving himself in areas of game art he does not understand and being very adaptable it did not take him long to start learning the basics. When it came to the general day to day aspects of game production it came to a point where I would happily leave him in charge of a certain aspect of the game we were producing at the time knowing that he would do a good job and also chase up the areas that required not just art improvement but other disciplines too. I would heartily recommend Alex as a great all rounder, a very promising technical artist, potentially a good manager of artists and an asset to any team he joins. I should also add that he is also a really nice guy! Every art team should have an Alex!

Alex is an excellent Games Artist and a hard worker. When I have asked him for anything, it has always been completed promptly (usually very fast) and to a very high standard. He clearly cares about the work he does and is very good at his job. He is cool and calm under pressure and always ready to help out, even when he is under tight deadlines. Alex is also a good Technical Artist in the making, he comes from an IT background and is always ferreting away making scripts and plug-ins for his 3D tools. Alex's love for games and attention to detail clearly comes across in his work.
