As a teacher at Primrose Schools, I was responsible for lesson planning, implementing the lesson plans, and teaching the Pre-K aged children. Not only were the children taught Pre-K academics in the subjects of reading and math, it was imperative to teach the children social and emotional skills. As 4- and 5-years-old is an extremely influential age, support was provided to each student in order for their social and emotional skills to flourish. Communication with colleagues, students, and parents was a key component in this role. Parent-teacher conferences were held twice each year to update parents on their child's adjustment to school, academic progress, and classroom behavior.
