  Having had the opportunity to become a Camp Specialist at Sandy Spring friend school, I have had the privilege of running lively educational workshops throughout the summer for kids aged 5 - 12. Working with children at such a diverse age group has taught me a strong sense of leadership, patience and awareness on how to interact with different children. Throughout the summer, I had been able to pick up and familiarise the daily outings and scheduled activities with relative ease, and when necessary, I had been able to take on additional roles and responsibilities, may that be additional tasks or supervision at times of staff shortage, or even running other workshops if required. Roles undertaken: - Primary responsibility of overall supervision of campers ensuring their well-being at all times. - Lead and run camp workshops with responsibilities in coordinating camp activities. - Monitoring supervised camp activities to ensure compliance with camp rules and prevent accidents. - Participating in daily staff meetings to review, inform and kept up-to-date on the camps progress.
