I commenced this position in Brisbane whilst I was studying for my Diploma of Hospitality Management. I worked under the general guidance of the Bar, Gaming & Restaurant Managers, assisting in the smooth operation of all three areas to deliver a high standard of service and customer satisfaction. However I most note that I began this role as a casual employee it wasn't until the beginning of 2018 that I undertook the role as a full-time position. Duties include: • Supervision of staff in the bar area.• Service of customers in both the functions, bar, bistro and gaming areas.• Responsible for ensuring work areas comply with work place health and safety and food hygiene standards. • Providing a professional, friendly and courteous service to all customers.• Working at private functions including the liaising with the customer, set up, overseeing and clean up.• Dealing with customer complaints in a friendly and efficient manner.• Stock control.• Opening and closing of tills.Overall the most crucial skills i learnt from this job was conflict resolution and efficient problem solving.
