  My specific position as a crude scheduler is in the fast-growing field of Crude by Rail. -Manage railcars transporting crude oil from Western Canada to Delaware City and Toledo-Provide disposition for empty railcars in an effort to arrange for ratable railcar arrivals during each obligation period-Optimize utilization of the railcar fleet to achieve efficiencies in transit and delivery-Analyze contract performance and anticipate potential shortfalls or overages while keeping economic concerns in mind-Maintain deal volumes in the accounting system to ensure correct position for risk management-Communicate daily with counterparts including suppliers, transloading facilities, the railroads, and the refineries to streamline the business-Assist in calculating cost of crude to be used for the basis of delivered value of into the refinery-Publish weekly railcar delivery schedule to assist in planning for future deals-Organize inventory data for rail shipments as well as truck deliveries and truck receipts-Test and verify updates and adjustments to the data warehouse, an interconnected tool used by several departments
