After training in Musical Theatre for secondary school at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts 2005-2008, I was a full-time recording artist signed to an independent music label called Good Groove. This was the outcome of a successful development deal where I co-wrote and recorded an album with music producer, Ryan Laubscher. I returned to my Musical Theatre studies and trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and since then have continued to gig professionally, including becoming a lead vocalist for the gospel choir, Urban Voices Collective. Highlights during this time include: - Performing as the support act for McFly, The Sugababes & Calvin Harris; - Collaborating with the now world-renowned Music Video Director Emil Nava on my debut single’s music video, ensuring the aesthetic and energy was in keeping with the album and direction; - Being responsible for curating all social media content, writing online blogs, recording vlogs and coming up with ways to engage with my fan base; - Collaborating with my PR and management teams to gain as much relevant coverage and momentum as possible, to promote myself in a saturated market. I received press coverage with The Guardian, NME Music, Music Week, Top of the Pops magazine, and many more; - Being an ambassador for Claire’s Accessories, resulting in my music being played in every store across the UK and designing and launching my own range; - Stepping in for BBC’s Tom Deacon and presenting a live YouTube show called The 5:19 Show after a successful appearance as a guest and building a rapport with the production crew behind the scenes; -Performing as a regular in headline shows across London, in which I had to engage with my fan base to encourage ticket sales; - My music was chosen to the be the Nickelodeon theme tune for Gigantic, and featured on MTV’s The Hills, The City and Jersey Shore; - Singing at the FA Cup Final with Urban Voices Collective. Blackbridge is a people communications agency that specialises in helping clients attract and engage top talent. My experience involved managing key client relationships and overseeing and delivering projects for some of the agency’s key accounts; Amazon, TK Maxx, Heathrow, KPMG, Vodafone, and Police Now.During this role, I was supporting the creative and digital teams to develop and implement a range of creative materials. Solutions included employer brand building, creative/conceptual development and testing, full campaign management and delivery (video, photoshoots, online events, podcasts, outdoor and online advertising materials), websites and social media campaigns. Highlights during this time include:- Producing videos for Amazon, two of which were shortlisted for multiple awards and received exceptional client feedback and results;- Producing a video for Police Now in a response to Black Lives Matter, tackling racial inequality. The video was award winning, and through collaboration with our in-house PR arm, gained national coverage, including a mention on BBC Breakfast and a feature in The Sun newspaper. Show less
