Apr 2014 - Oct 2017
In April 2014 I took over managing The REACH Centre's significant Asian business activities. My primary role, through collaboration with our strategic alliance partner JEMAI (Tokyo, Japan), is to ensure that our Asian Only Representative clients remain in compliance with the European REACH Regulation. For that reason, I coordinate the provision of REACH Registration related services through TRC’s Scientific and Analytical, (Eco)Toxicological, Hazard Communication and Regulatory teams to deliver Lead and Joint REACH Registrations. I also ensure compliance within the supply chain through the provision and collection of legal documentation and data, and regularly travel to Asia to meet clients, promote TRC’s services and deliver seminars.Towards the end of 2014, I started exploring and developing new business partnerships in South Korea, Taiwan and Turkey in order to assist TRC’s clients with the provision of regulatory services in these countries’ respective REACH-like regulations. Apr 2011 - Mar 2014
I joined The REACH Centre in early 2011 and initially focused on developing TRC’s Hazard Communication Services. In addition building the HCS team, I have expanded the range of in-house consultancy services offered to include (extended) Safety Data Sheets and a full range of Classification Labelling and Packaging (CLP) services. My main roles included delivering support to both SME and multinational businesses and managing their hazard communication requirements for global markets. Additionally, I regularly ran workshops and seminars, delivering in-depth training on CLP and SDS. These courses could be either open access or bespoke and tailored to the client's specific needs. Working within Hazard Communication enabled me to build a detailed working knowledge of REACH, CLP, DSD/DPD, EU Detergents Regulation, EU Aerosols Directive and the UN Transport of Dangerous Goods.
