      Three 12-week summer placements working in Mouchel's roads and major projects design office. I gained experience of working on several large scale highway design projects including a £63 million junction redevelopment of Sadlers Farm, Essex, and the design of an Active Traffic Management scheme on the M5/M6 Birmingham Box motorway network. I worked on several aspects of highway design including the layout of utilities, the location of signage, Road Restraint Risk Assessment Procedure (RRRAP), pavement layout, drainage design, geotechnical design, the production of CAD drawings and the compilation of reports.
