Alex is a born leader with an innate capacity to effectively manage various teams and focuses on employee strength without micromanaging people which enabled us to thrive at work, feel supported and deliver more effectively under his management.

Alex Natuhwera was our Country Manager at Teach A Man To Fish and he was my in Country support line manager. I would confidently say that Alex is strong at building and maintaining strategic partnerships. He is a strong team worker and thrived in coordination/working with teams across the various geographical locations where Teach A Man To Fish has offices. Alex’s typical day/week would have a lot of competing priorities, but he was very good at prioritizing and delegating some of the work to the rest of the team and supported his delegates to complete the task. For example, while developing a funder report or responding to grant application call, Alex made a timeline and send calendar invitees to various people working on various parts in the process. He ensured that there is constant follow up on team to meet the set deadline. Alex is very organized, collaborative, and good problem solver. He would listen to staff problems and give a solution which was agreeable by all as the best! Alex has a very warm personality and swiftly builds rapport with people of any personalities. He coordinated team members from Rwanda, UK, South Africa, Central America and UK. He has had a very cordial relationship with people from various backgrounds and he always strived to amplify people’s strengths than weaknesses. Alex is hardworking and honest – he would put forth as much effort in the smallest tasks as he would do with the biggest project tasks. I would say Alex is a detail oriented, creative, self-motivated and industrious person and he did exhibit these strengths during the time I worked with him. I would recommend him over and over again and would love to work with him again if an opportunity arose.
