Here at Diakont I have been put in charge of the development of a new method of pipe repair utilizing robotic platforms to deliver a mechanism to rebuild and reinforce the interior of inaccessible pipelines delivering gas and steam. Using means of 3D printing, and other rapid prototype techniques I am able to develop creative solutions to this unique and complex problem in a very tight time frame. Being the sole design engineer and systems engineer has allowed me to gain more experience in… Show more Here at Diakont I have been put in charge of the development of a new method of pipe repair utilizing robotic platforms to deliver a mechanism to rebuild and reinforce the interior of inaccessible pipelines delivering gas and steam. At General Atomics I was able to apply my passion for mechanical design with a cross-functional team of Electrical Engineers to develop and create new and exciting high voltage electrical technologies for the DoD as well as IRAD projects. I gained exposure and expertise in realm of PCB design, prototype and manufacturing through hands on experience of manufacturing and assembling PCBs for prototypes as well as deliverables. Along with my engineering duties, I was put in charge of managing the pulse power lab, which contained the controls and power system for Rail Gun program as well as other large capacitor powered energy systems under development and testing. I helped run and oversaw the safety and management of high voltage testing for everything from electrical connections to exploding wire ignition systems and oversaw the day to day running of the lab and it's use. I managed the technicians in the lab as needed and managed projects occurring in the lab concurrent with my individual projects and duties. I have a strong passion for project success, deisgn, management and systems engineering and development across multiple engineering disciplines. I am constantly looking to improve processes, and develop new and improved ways to achieve success. I value being part of a team and contributing to a collaborative environment as well as individually managing my own time and priorities. I have a keen ability to learn new software for manufacturing and design and apply it effectively with a quick learning curve. I managed the manufacturing crew as well as wrote and implemented manufacturing process for production to reduce part loss, waste and increase time efficiency. I did this all while being a full-time student of Mechanical Engineering. Aside from those duties, I developed sheet metal products from inception to assembly line implementation. I created and wrote all supporting documentation for the products and manufacturing processes I developed as well as integrated them into the assembly and manufacturing team. Together with one other engineer, we grew the company sales from 300k/year to 10M/year in less than 2 years.
