ITES support intern
-
May 2017 - Aug 2017
During this summer internship I was given the opportunity to work in sales for a government reseller. I worker directly with the Army, providing quotes at their requests for IT software products they need for various projects. I learned proper communcation skills: talking with customers via phone and answering any questions they may have, also via email, learning how to properly address and body a formal email. I learned the best way to learn is to ask questions and seek answers from experienced coworkers. I learned how to use excel, and also how to work with people in the office on a day to day basis. This tremendous experience gave me a chance to work on skills such as communication, organization, critical thinking and problem solving. I spoke on the phone with many customers answering questions, many RFQ's would come at one time so I had to be organized in order to maximize efficiency. Also every opportunity, from beginning to end, would work out in a different way and I would have to adapt and learn everyday. Show less

Service Technician
-
May 2016 - Aug 2016
As a service technician I was required to resupply companies with new filters to provide clean air at particular locations. Every morning I was given a service route that included retail, industrial, healthcare, and/or institutional locations. This job required me to be self motivated and make sure the job was done well so as to keep the customer happy. I had to keep my physical shape up as carrying extension ladders, climbing on roofs, being on blacktops in the sun all day can be physically taxing and I had to learn how to pace myself so I could always be efficient for each and everyday.
