Learning and Innovation
-
Jan 2012 - Jul 2016
I worked with the Learning and Innovation Department at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts in several roles over the span of nearly 5 years. As the Community Arts Administration Intern in 2012, I created and managed a new program, Youthline Teen Studios, a series of workshops in collaboration with Minneapolis Parks and Recreation to provide art experiences to at-risk adolescents in their community spaces. Simultaneously managed staff schedules and materials for the Art in the Park program, designed exhibitions of student artwork, and assisted in the implementation of major annual events such as Peace Games. Hired as employee following successful completion of internship as a Studio Assistant to assist in the maintenance of the studio space as well as orient teaching staff to the space and assist in the facilitation of on-site classes. Additionally, I was hired as an Art Instructor to create and teach special project art classes in the community and on-site, with the goal of engaging underserved populations. Show less
