I am an administrative officer within the Faculty of Medicine graduate school at the University of Southampton. I work within the whole student life cycle, dealing with anything from Admissions to Awarding. I am the first point of call for students and academics who have queries or issues they may have in regards to their study, I assist academics with their programme management, this includes monitoring attendance, updating our student database with withdrawals, suspensions and enrolment. I am also responsible for servicing committees for two of our masters programmes. In addition I am responsible for all administration relating to the Integrated PhD Programme (IPhD) and the MRes Stem Cells programmes, in particular maintenance of records for the modules taught, setting up e-assignment and logging student grades, and arranging the IPhD Away Day and Exam Boards. Due to personal circumstances I was unfortunately let go from this position.

I am a Team Leader who is use to managing varying sizes of teams, the sizes can vary from a small night fill team to managing the entire shop floor. I am not afraid to take responsibility having taken on our wine department over Christmas and having to manage our stock levels, customer orders and also presentation and managed to achieve higher sales and customer satisfaction levels then we had the previous years. I was also a key part of customer service training due to my incredibly high standard, I would be asked to and offer to train new partners and give refreshers or help to existing partners. Finally I was not afraid to make observations and speak to higher management about it, such as if I spotted something we could improve on I would bring it to a manager and organise a trial of my idea and how we could improve it.
