Human Resources is often people's first interaction with the municipal organization if they seek employment with the City, or have some other interest with the City. So, I had to maintain a professional demeanor at all times on the job. I was exposed to all aspects of HR in this role. I assisted with recruitment and benefits related duties, answered emails and phones, entered application information into our computer system, scheduled meetings, interviewed job candidates, scheduled "health risk assessment" appointments, and researched Wisconsin benefits and health laws, as well as federal ACA and COBRA laws.
