• Thesis: "Interleukin-17 (IL-17) selectively regulates the recruitment and activation of monocytes during the inflammatory process". • Techniques used: Cell cultures, cell viability assays, Western Blot, ELISA and EIA assay, FACS, MACS. • Theoretical knowledge: Main in vivo models of inflammation and pain (formalin test, carrageenan-induced paw oedema, air pouch, zymosan-induced peritonitis, amyloid-β-induced neuroinflammation, testosterone-induced prostatic hyperplasia, MSU-induced gouty inflammation) and behavioural tests (Y-maze, rotarod test, object recognition, olfactory discrimination).
