  Training activity Problem: Text mining is used at EBI for the discovery of organisms in the full text. However, text-mining algorithms often result in the extraction several organism names and false positive terms, making it difficult to ascertain from the mined terms alone the organism that is the main focus of the article. Activity: The activity of the trainee is to explore how the exploitation of specialized metadata in datasets linked to the publication, from well-known data repositories such as the European Nucleotide Archive, could help clarify the subject of the article, ruling out false positives or ambiguity.
