The Capitol District was the largest new development in Omaha’s history, and included 218 apartment units, a 333-room full service Marriott hotel, 90,000 SF of retail, 20,000 SF of office and a 505-stall… Show more I worked as a financial analyst intern with Shamrock Development, a well-known Omaha, Nebraska developer with a focus on downtown redevelopment and new construction. While at Shamrock, I was one of a team of six people who worked on the mixed use $205 million Capitol District development. The Capitol District was the largest new development in Omaha’s history, and included 218 apartment units, a 333-room full service Marriott hotel, 90,000 SF of retail, 20,000 SF of office and a 505-stall parking garage. I handled some of the financial analysis for the Capitol District, created cash flow projections and worked with the contractor on payment schedules and approval of each stage of construction.
