Job Purpose: The overall task of the Mechanical Engineer Intern is to follow up on mechanical maintenance activities that will be sent from farm and also from trucks fleet management. I'm also expected to come up with solutions for any sort of mechanical problems for the ginnery and other jobs of the mechanical engineering department of the farm. Key Responsibilities: Receive and evaluate any mechanical job orders sent from farm workshop and keep record of the job. Receive and evaluate any sort of spare part requisitions and keep record of the request Select appropriate workshops for the maintenance job order sent from farm and give the job to the desired workshop. Analyze spare part requests if they have detailed job specifications like part number or sample or measurable dimension descriptions. Search spare part dealers with the right type, size, quality and the lowest price in collaboration with procurement team. Follow up on maintenance works at workshops and machine shops for a timely delivery and make sure the maintained Interface with vendors and contractors on a regular basis to resolve issues. Facilitate communication between vendors and Production, Technical, Procurement, Maintenance, and Engineering departments. Maintain cost controls by interaction with finance and fleet management departments. Create drawing and documentation packages. Create user manuals for programs written. Contribute directly to project success through individual technical contributions Delivering on all project performance, quality, schedule, and budget objectives Clearly communicating and presenting technical and programmatic information to technical and non-technical individuals Comply to any other assignments given by immediate supervisor and management.
