Thanks to the generosity of the ADAMED SmartUP foundation, I have been awarded a scholarship at the Akademeia Tutorial College for the school year 2022/23. I received the opportunity to participate in one-to-one tuition on neuroscience, human physiology and biology. The Scholarship also allows me to become a part of the upcoming 2023 London International Youth Science Forum. I am the finalist of The Look of The Year Poland 2022. The Look of The Year, also known as Elite Model Look, is the oldest and most prestigious modeling contest in the world. Its past contestants include models like Alessandra Ambrosio, Cindy Crawford, Diane Kruger and Gisele Bündchen. Apart from being the contest's finalist, I also had the opportunity to sit in the jury in the eliminations for The Look of The Year Poland 2023. I am the finalist of The Look of The Year Poland 2022. At the Department of Microbiology and Laboratory Medical Immunology, I am completing my own research project, which aims to explore potential alternative methods of preventing endocarditis in patients after the implantation of an artificial heart valve. My work is titled "The potential use of apple cider vinegar and grapefruit seed extract in the prevention of Staphylococcus epidermidis infective endocarditis".

At the Central Clinical Hospital of the Medical University of Lodz's Electrocardiology Clinic, I observed doctors' work, including the implantation of a pacemaker and the closure of the left atrial appendage. I learned the basics of ultrasound and ECG. I also watched the process of qualifying a patient for heart transplantation.

At the Center for Diagnostics and Treatment of Sleep Disorders, I learned how to prepare a patient for polysomnography-overnight sleep study and analyze the test record. I broadened my understanding of the functioning of the Polish National Health Fund.

I was chosen as one of 50 students (out of more than 11 thousand applicants) to attend the 2022 ADAMED SmartUP summer camp, where I participated in medical and microbiological courses. I learned radiology, psychology, surgery, virology and medical ethics, as well as participated in pig’s dissection. Furthermore, at the camp I had an interview that tested my ability to apply my biomedical knowledge in practice. Based on my performance at the courses and the interview I was chosen as the Main Prize Winner of the program, thanks to which I can now participate in the educational consultation program at Akademeia Tutorial College. I led ADAMED SmartUP Roadshow meetings with high school students in Warsaw and Łódź. I met with approximately 1000 youths teaching them about opportunities of development in the field of natural sciences at the foundation and beyond.

As part of The Junior Academy and 1000 Girls 1000 Futures programs, I completed the “Save the Lungs of Our Planet” project in an international team of high school students. Together, we analyzed scientific articles on laboratory-derived alternatives to paper so as to propose sustainable solutions that could reduce deforestation. I was chosen (as one of 30 high school students from Poland) a laureate of the Queen Hedvig Scholarship, thanks to which I got the unique chance to participate in a trip to San Francisco Bay Area. I visited Google and LinkedIn headquarters, where I met, among others, LinkedIn's CPO Tomer Cohen. I have also participated in a meeting with Steve Ciesinski at the Stanford Research Institute. Furthermore, I visited UC Berkeley and Stanford University, where I got the opportunity to talk to their students and professors as well as take part in classes. Show less
