I have been employed as a Technical Student in the Beams Department. I have work with Wire Scanners, the devices used to analyze the proton beam profile. Apart from other minor tasks, I have developed 4 main projects: -Website application used for the extraction of data relevant to the wire scanners; -Python application used for the semi-automated analysis of acquired signals; -Labview application used for the automated data analysis from the wire scanner calibration; -Labview application used to control the wire scanner calibration bench. Additionally I was able to enhance my scientific approach and problem-solving skills, since I was independent within my responsibilities. Show less

I've been contracted to design and construct breathing simulator for testing somnographs produced by the company. The goal of this project was to manufacture a device, that generate airflow similar to human breath. I was the only person involved in this project and I did everything by myself. The project was divided into 3 main parts: mechanical, electronic and IT. From mechanical point of view, I had to plan and manufacture a construction of an air piston pump, which is the heart of the mechanism. Device is driven by a stepper motor, which required gear powertrain. Whole construction was designed in IronCAD, and parts that were hard to bought, where created in 3D print technology. It also required installing heating system into cylinder, to simulate temperature of human body. From electronic side, I designed an Arduino-based circuit, which aim was to control stepper motor, to get readings from sensors and to communicate with PC. I installed and programmed all sensors by myself. Heating system required programming and selecting settings for PID controller. In programming field, I designed Qt framework application in Python to control device by a PC. Show less
