Studio 8Fold values collaboration, initiative, and synthesis through spatial intelligence. We use architecture to fuse social & environmental organisations with capital-driven projects, spatializing an outcome that leverages the best attributes of each party. We seek out organisations that aim to bring about a cultural shift for a more sustainable world, starting at a neighbourhood scale, and with this innovative initiative create a powerful USP for the capital-driven party involved. Through our unique set of skills in synthesizing research, spatial intelligence, and bringing together the right people we help both parties to find a win-win outcome.

Alexander Frehse and I will be joining the illustrious Will Hunter, Fenella Collingridge, Javier Quintana and researcher Daniel Barrett in running one of The London School of Architecture's masters Think Tank's. The Think Tank will work with the newly formed company Equilo – which means equilibrium in Italian – which seeks to bring society into harmony with nature and to facilitate a relationship between life and work that responds to the challenges, priorities and opportunities of contemporary life. An ever more pressing and interesting debate in a post COVID world.

During this - fun and relentless period - I was working as a part-time student with Grimshaw Architects in conjunction with The London School of Architecture. The new university model allowed for a work/ research balance that granted me access to commercial business systems, architectural theory and economics. Due to the culmination of a part-time week, my mixed skills and the LSA being in its first year, I was used on an array of projects. Skipping between masterplans for a city of 100,000 residents, train infrastructure for the future, competitions for theatres, new forms of living, developing commercial visualisations and industrial design projects dealing with lighting and passive ventilation; all of which afforded me a variety of experiences and knowledge. It was a great venture and a brilliant model for knowledge transfer, networking and skill development.

I worked at PDP | LDN for close to three years as a Part 1 Assistant Architect. I enjoy working as part of a team, individually and in leadership roles. I have a varied work experience incorporating front end design of residential, commercial and public work, including planning submissions, tender documentation and construction drawings for both high-end residential projects in London such as Chelsea Barracks Phase 2 and 3, heritage work on the Barracks Garrison Chapel and shop drawings for market stalls based in the East-Colonnade of Covent Garden and Urban designs from Doha to Vauxhall. Many of these schemes originated as competitions, where I gain great pleasure in competing having won a varied range of competitions including film, concept design, architectural and the visual arts. Outside of the work place I was involved in a range of activities from R & D analysis on Cad protocols and analysis of commercial buildings. PDP | LDN had been a great support and as a starting block has developed a solid foundation for future development.
