English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Tutor
-
Aug 2005 - Sep 2013
I taught on the Pre-Sessional Course in English now run by the Centre for Applied Linguistics (CAL) in the period August-September every summer from 2005 to 2013. Particularly, I taught the academic reading and writing module to international students about to commence their full-year MA studies at Warwick University. The course aims to prepare students linguistically so that they can cope with the level of academic English required by their course departments. I have experience teaching Asian, European, and Latin American students from various departments, namely the Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG), Warwick Business School (WBS), Economics, the Centre for English Language Teacher Education (CELTE), as well as Japanese undergraduate students on university exchange programmes.
