  I worked as a Public Health Intern at Fundación BAI, a local NGO that works in health promotion regarding HIV. I was in charge of other volunteers and interns, and I conducted my MPH thesis, working with data from Fundación BAI's HIV Rapid Testing Program.

  I worked as a Public Health Intern designing and conducting a survey on knowledge, awareness and perception of Zika virus disease amongst six communities in rural Guanajuato, Mexico, as part of the Project Health Bridges organized by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I presented the results in the XII. European Conference on Social and Behavioral Sciences in Catania, Sicily, Italy on January 2017. The article, "Knowledge, Awareness, Perception & Prevention of Zika: A Latin-American rural region’s perspective", is published in the book 'Recent Developments in Sociology andSocial Work', by the IASSR, ISBN: 978-83-943963-5-0 .
