  As a Technical Officer, I helped to set up a molecular biology based testing unit for the detection of TB and its drug resistance. My duties involved conducting DNA/RNA based diagnostic testing for detection of TB and testing of TB drug resistance using PCR, performing ELISA tests , writing and maintaining SOPs as well as maintenance of QC records. I have also validated the tests used for TB detection and its drug resistance.
