Alec worked under me for three years in the Facilities Department at the UW Wisconsin School of Business. Shortly after being hired, we promoted Alec to a Lead position within our department. Here he was able to showcase his skills as a mentor and represent our department to the many stakeholders that utilize our services. Working at this capacity, Alec built strong business relationships with our occupants, campus partners, and his fellow teammates as he navigated the various areas of problem solving that we encounter. In his final year working with us, Alec assisted with the development of a new supervisor role within our team which allowed a more hands on approach to running the department in my position’s absence. This role was a large undertaking for Alec, but he was able to effectively manage his time to maintain a high level of service to our stakeholders in addition to his other academic and professional obligations. We really appreciated Alec’s work ethic and positive attitude while being a part of our team. I wish him the best and would be happy to work with him again. Thanks Alec!

I had the pleasure of having Alec as an intern on our marketing team over the summer as an intern. Alec worked on a number strategic initiatives during his time at Discover. His quick understanding of payments along with his focused strategic mindset helped develop a number of strategic initiatives that are still being implemented to this day! While the summer internship was cut short due to COVID-19 restrictions, that did not stop Alec achieve great results during his 8 week internship. We felt comfortable having him present his strategic plans to the Marketing Vice President based on great communication style. Great job Alec and thank you for your time with us this past summer!
