I am a Geotechnician/Construction Quality Officer(CQO) with over 10 years’ experience. I have worked on a wide range of projects across Australia and the Asia/Pacific region, including both geotechnical investigation and construction supervision/quality assurance roles. Added to this is my broad range of experience over my working life, allow me to bring a range of skills and knowledge to any job. My geotechnical skills were developed over 10 years. This work included geotechnical investigations for RTA Mount Thorley, Koni New Caledonia, Australian Government Manus Island, Curtis Island CSG along with various small scale projects. I have also worked during the construction phase including supervising the construction of earthworks, civil and liner systems. These roles have included working on the QGC CSG ponds projects in Queensland. The role consisted of inspection of works, review of documentation (test data, ITP’s, WMS etc), review of RFI’s, liaising with both the contractor and client and reporting of works. My general experience including roles in other industries allowing me to resolve issues in a pragmatic and practical way, ensuring the works are completed in line with the certifiers requirements without excessive costs or time delays. I have a strong focus on HSE, which including acting as the Site Health and Safety officer on the Golder component of the Cutis Island Gas Plants in Gladstone. The role required initial equipment inspections, assistance with permits to work, developing and constant reviewing of the Environmental, Health and Safety Plans. During my time on the project, I promoted a culture of safety through H&S talks (including the promotion of shared information via guests like paramedics, skill specific individuals, etc.), post break presentations and shared tool box meetings along with ensuring a interdependent behaviour and compliance with the relevant HSE policies and procedures.
