In the dictionary, under "Attention to detail", it could say 'see Alberto Bianchi Quota'. In my years of working with Alberto, I have learned a great deal - not only technically, that is a base requirement in this field and Alberto has certainly shown himself to be at the fore-front of several areas, but moreover, of learning the 'nuts and bolts' of an application so as to find how to work yourself out of a problem should one develop. If that were not enough, to be able to take that level of understanding and being able to explain the What and the Why to one less capable then he is and, all the while, refusing to cut any corners. I have personally noted his tendency to document his work - be it for future reference or for teaching. At times, almost to an annoying degree but proven, over and over, to be invaluable when such documentation was required for problem resolution. All this and still able to break new ground as in the development of a tool that was such an overall time saver as to be adopted and distributed by our (old) company. It goes without saying, after my 40+ years in IT, I feel that Alberto would be an asset to any company fortunate enough to acquire him.

Reliable, quality focused, detail oriented, and professional are just a few of the words that come to mind when I think about Alberto. I've had the pleasure of working with Alberto for many years in the endpoint protection space, supporting several large customers. Alberto is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for many Symantec/Broadcom products and management consoles such as SEPM. As other security vendors emerged, he gained experience in their products as well, such as Microsoft Defender managed through both Intune and SCCM/ConfigMgr. He's also not afraid to dabble in tools development, as he created a tool (that he shared with the team) to pull specific info directly from the SEPM database and format it to suit reporting needs, to be more efficient. Alberto would be a strong asset to any endpoint security team, for both his technical and professional skills!
