  Nieuwestroom wants to be a pioneer in new market models for the energy market. Selling electricity and gas for market prices instead of fixed prices is a start. This encourages customers to consume energy when there is sufficient/surplus. Dynamic pricing is a key concept to move energy consumption in time and therefore enable large-scale introduction of (uncontrollable) renewable generation: the start of smart grids!At the moment we are transforming the processes and ICT system to become highly automated and ready to implement more processes and products to support the energy transition while keeping prices competitive for our customers.
