Research Assistant
-
Jan 2018 - May 2018
Worked with the Mass. Department of Energy Resources in their Green Communities Division as part of a co-op program with Tufts University. My job was to provide a standard MPG requirement for what the Green Communities Division considers to be "fuel efficient" for a range of vehicle classes. This work focuses on quantitative research skills, statistical analysis, interviews, and case studies. My findings, with the help of the other team members, became a final report for the Mass. Department of Energy Resources.

Research assistant studying the phytoplankton of Narragansett Bay. This entailed working under a Ph.D. candidate to help research phytoplankton for their dissertation. This would include field work such as going into Narragansett Bay, collecting samples, then bringing them back to the lab to run several experiments on the sample. It was then my responsibility to give the Ph.D. candidate my opinion on what I believe the sample was telling me. Due to my extensive work, I was also given the privilege to conduct my own experiments on phytoplankton and then provide my expert opinion on what my experiments concluded.
