★ MY WORKLeading the Product Development Hardware Team to design, develop and deliver the project strategy to improve the UK electric vehicle charging infrastructure. I own the project plans, team resource allocation and help drive the hardware strategy through innovation.I have defined new hardware processes and templates from specifications in line with government regulations & standards to assembly instructions & user manuals. I have also introduced configuration control for SKUs, drawings & components as well as overhauled work instructions, BoMs and cost models. Lead the development of new flagship product ‘Media Charger’ currently being installed across 400 Tesco UK sites and worked with the team & our suppliers to reduce the final cost of the product by over 40%. ★ DAY TO DAYI lead the development of new products throughout the full product development lifecycle - from concept through design, test, qualification & install. Projects typically require me to provide team leadership, technical engineering input & expertise across functions and deal with internal and external stakeholders from suppliers & manufacturers to our installers & the customer. I manage the cross functional strategic PD roadmap for the Hardware Team and developed a custom project tracking tool to provide accurate costings & status updates to key stakeholders. I regularly define and prepare project documentation from initial specifications, requirements and plans to testing & manufacturing procedures and data sheets/manuals. ★ MY WORKAfter completing the Engineering Graduate Development Programme with 3 years engineering experience, I moved to a project management role with Thales for the London Underground 4 Lines Modernisation (4LM) project. I used my engineering experience to complement my developing management skills. A technical background helped broaden my knowledge of CBTC (Communication Based Train Control) signalling solutions, and I worked with various teams to ensure that installation was managed in an efficient and effective manner to meet the needs of the project and our customer.Planned, managed & delivered 8 vital weekend underground closures on the London Underground. As Closure Manager, I was responsible for the safety & delivery of major installation works, testing & commissioning activities and the the organisation & well-being of up to 120 staff across various teams. (See media below ~1:00)★ DAY TO DAYMy focus was on the delivery of the first installation phase of the project, as well as on process improvement. I have a proven track record for identifying process gaps or other areas for process improvement. I am able to take a step back to identify issues, before diving right down in to the minute detail of how to solve them. To support this, I created an advanced VBA Excel spreadsheet and business intelligence dashboards to monitor the life-cycle and progress of individual assets across multiple functions within the project.
